"Time" by Nachi the poet Aguboshim

THIS piece is broken into three parts, the past, the present and the future, all of which are measurements of time. I wanted to highlight the importance of time and its effect in our lives, from start and eventually finish.

PAST

Our past is filled with wisdom and culture though we see it as times gone by Acknowledge the work of our ancestors, don't let their spirit die

As Africans we are rulers and civilisers and in a time before time that was the case But outside forces then saw our unity, our strength and from their fear eventually came hate

We were moved from the motherland and then incorporated many of their negative traits

The problem with this is that within our community we now find it hard to relate The steps we make in our past can lead to our future The choice is now ours to what destiny we may endure.

The formation of a path and a journey for you to take A life is at your footstep and it's up to you to create So begin your process and be the catalyst for your stage You cannot write your story without your first page.

PRESENT

As we move on, the present is now our new point in time

They say slavery is abolished but it exists in the physical and mind

The IMF and the World Bank leech off our resources and exploit the very essence of our being

They do this because we are a threat to their existence and with that they seek out our ruin.

We need to Identify and understanding the power that we possess from within Don't become blind by technology and money, as they fill our hearts with sin.

Being civilisers, is such a long time away, as we are now divided by Geopolitics

The problem is that we are now sidetracked and we fail to see these tricks

'Sidetracked by what?' I hear you roar, what could make us lose our way?

Material possessions and our own ignorance it sickens me that these words I must say The present presents us with many challenges for us to overcome in unity

Your story is now making progress; do you know what your next step will be?

FUTURE

The future is something that humans out of fear try not to understand.

My sisters, my brothers are spirits are strong and our future is within our hands.

Open Minds by Nachi the poet Aguboshim

NOW I don’t wish to fill your head with negative thoughts and therefore infect your positive minds

I just wish to express how I feel and hope that with these words a solution we will find.

We reside in a country of diverse cultures and races, not attempting to live together

I stress the words, not attempting as our ignorant view of each other makes our situation no better.

The idea of a multi-cultural country and coexisting truly sounds sublime

But for that to be a reality we have to change our state of mind.

The youth are our map to the future and through nurturing them their greatness will come.

But our failure to notice their potential results in them quickly picking up a gun

We then look towards their parents and point that infamous finger of blame

Their response is to turn their backs, as they are now controlled by shame

People are judged by the colour of their skin, now is that a good treatment to receive?

Some think that ethnic minorities no longer endure racism, but it’s up to you what you believe

In a society were the issue of racism is so common that we embrace it like a child of our own Though your passport states that you are British, but be wise my brothers and sisters this will never be our home

A government that doesn’t relate to the needs of its people, so does democracy truly exist?

It’s like every day is in the season of winter, as our future fades deeper into the mist

Blair once formed an alliance with Bush to battle a ‘War on Terror’ on foreign lands

Disillusioned by pAwer and arrogance as the blood of the innocent drips from their hands Every year the crime rate rises and it becomes more of a risk to walk the street

Be it daytime or even night there isn’t enough police patrolling the beat The introduction of ASBO’s in the community has made crime merely a popular trend

If crime is seen as a simple pass time, then when will this mentality end?

Now these are just a couple of problems that we all know currently exist

All we need to do now is acknowledge them and not let ignorance be bliss.
Change the way we live

Expression by Nach "the poet" Aguboshim

Expression by Nachi "the poet" Aguboshim

Corporate blinded

In their heart is where they find it

Controlled by that almighty dollar

But have the nerve to call yourself a scholar

For that education that you have acquired

Tut tut. . .Leaves much to be desired

You should of kept your receipt

For that knowledge isn't that deep

Sick of their bullshit and verbal wordplay

Talking about changing the system, so with my words I shall slay

Slay you pretentious drones that are made from this twisted system

So fuck you with the hardest dick, I speak for all the victims

Hours burning through your soul, from shift to shift to shift

But when you get that money is it the curse or the gift?

Take time to think about that one, its not that easy to answer

As the words flow on I may get even harsher

This is for those who grind like they're working from pay check to pay check

But you don't care for us as long as your funds you protect

No apologies shall come from these lips

Like a vixen passing an STD, while grinding down on you with those hips

Politicians and the Government in which you reside

Need to stop spraying your bullshit and open your eyes

Though I am a father and future husband I can see why men do what they have to in this systems to survive

But at times this system is so messed up you have to do what it do and provide

Out of content? Maybe? I'm just expressing how I feel

For if I didn't express, could a brother truly be real?

EXPRESS!

"No Name" by Nachi "the poet" Aguboshim

I'm not quitting

I'm just getting. . .

A better form of definition

So to understand my mission

And build a path for my growing vision

Opening my mind like the doors that were previously closed

Purpose now resides here, its now my time to unfold

And erase the spirit vampires from my life, strange how blood is always thicker then water

For this water is the purist family, the ones I once trusted I left to their slaughter

As that is just the way it has to be the natural course of life

For when you step out of the darkness, you always see the light

Peace

Freestyle by Nachi "the poet" Aguboshim

Poetically speaking, are you feeling my rhythm?

Or is it more that I should be giving?

Like a slap to the face, such a high form of disrespect

As your temperature goes up like your manhood . . . Erect

So step with me as this is more then a verbal fusion

Its a mental mind f@@k, so leave behind the illusion

That this system is the ideal way that we should live

There has to be more, something has to give?

Isn't that the way, especially in this messed up western system

All up in a n@@ga's arse like s@@t in man's rectum

Apologies for the harsh words, profanity isn't my way to vent

I'm not a hypocrite like christians, who just go church to repent

I just wanna make sure that all my work is tight when it is sent

So that I feel that this freestyle is time well spent

Peace

"Higher" by Nachi "the poet" Aguboshim

"Higher" by Nachi "the poet" Aguboshim

Hold your head up high my people, but the sky isn't our limit

The light isn't that bright, if so like a switch, just dim it

Dare to ascend and reach goals higher then the mind could conceive

Tap into the untapped "11%" in the brain and you can then believe

That excuses of the "white man" and social decay are factors that we must no longer let hold us back

Everyone wants to be someone else, just be yourself and react

And set a path for yourself and live it like everyday may be your last

Cliché, I know that may be but this comes from the heart

As I myself embark on the path of fatherhood I present a man who was scared of the challenge new life can give

But the strength of being a loving father and future husband have given me a new reason to live

So lift your head up high and look higher still

Do the best you can and you will love the way you feel

Peace

"Cowards" by Nachi "the poet" Aguboshim

"Cowards" by Nachi "the poet" Aguboshim

We have never truly trusted you, as you hide in the shadows, with venom like a snake

For years we listen to you talk your bulls@@t, so sad that we tired to relate

And try and understand you and dare I say listen to the words that you felt made us react

Saying positive things to us, but you speak negative behind our back

A master of manipulation aiming to give you a paranoid state of mind

Don't fool for this foolishness or you shall then be confined

But we have now absorbed you in and filtered out all of "your" waste

Like writing in Microsoft Word we merely selected copy and paste

Luxor Cephren said "only take heart from words spoken from those close to thee"

Words spoken so true my brother, as cowards these people shall always be.

(Dedicated to those who words are an example of their own ignorance and fear - Try and learn for this is a new year)

Peace
